# External Authentication Providers

*grouprise* can be configured to use external authentication sources
(e.g. social platforms). This allows users to reuse existing external accounts
instead of memorizing another password for a local account.

*grouprise* uses [django-allauth](https://www.intenct.nl/projects/django-allauth/) for
authentication. If you want to add one of the
[supported authentication providers](https://django-allauth.readthedocs.io/en/latest/providers.html)
